Who is Energy Base?
Energy Base is a locally owned solar, battery and electrical company based in Paget, Mackay, Queensland. Founded in 2010 by electrical engineer Brendan Camilleri, Energy Base has installed more than 3,000 solar systems, over 250 home batteries and more than 30 EV chargers for homes and businesses across Mackay, the Whitsundays and the Bowen Basin.
Every Energy Base installation is completed by our own team of 4 in-house licensed electricians working in 2 installation crews. We don’t use subcontractors. Energy Base is a licensed Queensland electrical contractor (Licence No. 73928) and is rated 4.9 out of 5 stars from 364 Google reviews.

Our history
Our story: a Mackay business since 2010
Energy Base was founded in 2010 by Brendan Camilleri, a qualified electrical engineer who saw Mackay households paying too much for power and getting poor advice about solar. Brendan still owns and runs the business today, with his wife Jeanette managing administration.
Since then, Energy Base has grown into a team of local electricians and solar specialists who live in the communities we install in. Our Paget showroom also stocks batteries, 12V accessories and electrical gear, and is Mackay’s Alco Battery Centre.
Because we’re local, we design every system for North Queensland conditions (heat, humidity, storm and cyclone season) and we’re still here years later when you need after-sales service or a system upgrade.
