Energy Base has implemented changes to our operational procedures to ensure the safety of our customers and employees. By following these procedures we can to continue to assist our customers on their mission to reduce their energy costs.
Sales Process
We have always preferred face-to-face meetings during the sales process. However we understand this is not possible at present. So here is our procedure for supplying you with a “contact-less” solar system:
- Initially we will conduct a phone meeting to discuss your energy requirements and determine what solar solution is right for you. We can carry this out either over the phone or via a video call like FaceTime, Skype or Zoom.
- We then use our photo-quality overhead imagery and solar planning tool to design a solar layout to suit your roof.
- Since we always carry out a site survey to check the switchboard and roof, we would plan this to occur with no contact to anyone in your home. As long as we can access both the switchboard and roof locations we are happy to do this ourselves at a time convenient to you. We will not skip this very important step.
- After completion of the site visit and planning of the roof, we will send you via email a link to our online solar proposal. Here you can read about Energy Base and how solar helps you in general, see your roof plan and browse across some options at different price points.
- After a few days we will call you again to ensure everything is clear and answer any further questions you may have.
Install Process
Installing solar in general is a non-contact activity, we are working in unfashionable locations like your ceiling space, roof and switchboard after all! However to heighten safety in this time here is what we will do:
- Our team will call you when on the way to the job to advise you, so you can keep your distance. We also ask that you have cleared our work area, namely the inverter location and access to the man hole.
- When onsite we will wash our hands immediately and at regular intervals with soap from our work vehicle.
- If we need to enter the house to access the man hole / ceiling space we will wipe off any surfaces we touch whilst performing the work.
- We will refrain for entering any other part of the house whilst we are installing.
- Upon completion we will clean our work area, and wipe down the inverter and switchboard.
- The end-of-job STC rebate sign-off that is usually completed on the installers mobile phone will instead be carried out remotely by our office staff the next day. You can sign off via your own mobile phone.
- Provision of operating instructions and monitoring setup will be carried out either onsite maintaining 1.5m distance, or via phone the next day if you prefer.
